Deer, bears and any other game-even birds or fish can smell and hear you way before they see you. Controlling and blunting or eliminating your natural odors and scents will improve your chance of getting close to the game and your eventual success at bring home a trophy.
For a start eliminate all synthetic petro chemical fragrance detergent and body product odor from your house. I mean it. Get rid of all the sweet smelling stuff sold in super markets.  Residues from scented candles and air wicks and of downy can last for years so get rid of all that garbage and you, your friends and family will be healthier anyway.  Fragrances in any toiletries either natural or synthetic no matter how expensive will be noticed by the animals you hunt and they wont let you get near them.
Once you get rid of the synthetic stuff you only have your natural body odors to disguise.

CLOTHING INCLUDING SOX AND UNDERWEAR AND SHOES
Lets hope you have no detergents with downy or snuggle or added fresheners and detergents with masking or regular fragrances or even enzymes in your clothing. If you do here are some tips.

Wash your clothing with baking soda and if possible soak over night in cold water so sweat is out of clothing before you wash with hot water. If there are still residues from last washes with toxic laundry softeners . Dust and cover clothing in zeolite powder over night and then shake out just before the hunt.
Filling a bag of clothing , hats and sox and shoes up with either carbon fabric or zeolite sand will keep absorbing odors from your hunting clothing including sox and hats.
You can fill your shoes up with carbon and or zeolite and leave it there even when you put your sox on. Line your hunting cap or hat with carbon fabric or dust with zeolite. If you have over done the zeolite in your shoes keep it for spreading over any urine or excrement you may need to do in the woods . Even if you have a container the dog is not going to oblige you. The container can also hold a few teaspoons of zeolite.

Carbon or zeolite will absorb and block odors from you or your hunting  dogs. You can spread zeolite sand or powder over your dogs fur and face and nose as well as what he leaves in the woods.
If your dryer has residues of detergent and softeners smells remove the lint and wash a few clothing items in baking soda or zeolite to remove residues of odors in dryers You can also run some carbon fabric in the dryer or dry outside . Using dirt earth smells and pine odors will only work if the woods and forest you are hunting in has that species of pine and the dirt has that smell. Otherwise forget the earth smells. No smell with zeolite is best.

ODOR FROM YOUR BODY
If you know you are going out on a serious hunt consider being a vegetarian and eat green veggies for days before and get your partners to do the same.  High protein diet with onions and garlic and cheese or milk products give off more acrid acidic odor and sweat than vegetables. Avoiding refined sugar and wheat will help. Nothing worse than sugar laced urine to warn animals of your presence.
 Sweating is a great way to flush out toxins - so try to jog or sit in a sauna to promote sweating and detox or a hot bath soaking in baking soda or Epsom salts before your trip. Alcohol and tobacco is known to contribute to bad body odor - so try to cut back or avoid smoking and drinking completely. By the time you do all that you will be a health food nut. If you did not manage to do this get some charcoal tablets to detox the contents of your gut  
Keep the barbecue for the day after you get your trophy.
Some people go to the extent of getting chlorophyll from the health good store or juice a few ounces of parsley for your insides and for the outside of your body. Powder your sox and private parts with the finest zeolite body and shoe powder after washing with fragrant free soaps. You will be surprised that this will make your body more appealing to your bedroom partners as well as animals in the woods. You can use the regular powder of zeolite but we do have a finer shoe and deodorant powder that will be less irritating.
